The other day my daughter asked — if they’re for the rain, why don’t trench coats have hoods? Good question, and one I’ve pondered many a time when it’s pouring outside and I reach for my trench. Sure, they’re classic and instantly make an outfit look more chic, but practical? Not so much. I’ve been on the hunt for a raincoat with hood that will free up my hands on wet days. Of course, I finally ordered one but it didn’t arrive until after last weekend’s downfall. But, since rain is predicted for early next week, I’ll get to test out this cheery yellow slicker very soon. It’s a classic, and the blue and white striped lining will (hopefully) avoid comparisons to the Gorton’s Fisherman (perhaps a back-up Halloween costume?)!
Check out our favorites, in case you too are looking for something to keep your hands free in the rain. It will definitely come in handy when I’m walking Gracie!
