I know most people think of wine country as a summer or fall harvest destination, but I love to visit in the winter.  I especially love it when the weather turns wet.  The crowds thin out and you can spend a little extra time enjoying the wineries.  If you taste a bottle you really love, winemakers are willing to open a different vintage, or special blend, to let you compare and contrast.  It is the perfect time of year to sit by the fire and savor the moment.

With rain predicted for Saturday, I am thinking a day trip might be in order.  Everyone I know seems to be headed to Tahoe which means wine country should be wide open.

WEEKLY WRAP-UP:

  • Need to slow down and take some time back for yourself?  Here are the ways we intend to stop rushing in 2016.
  • If you are looking for bathroom design inspiration, you are sure to find it in this eclectic space.
  • Can you live with a minimal kitchen?  These beautiful spaces are inspiring us to try.
  • We love Cuyana’s “fewer, better” motto.  And this bag is just about perfect.
