Like Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, we love a good farmer’s market. Starting this weekend, CUESA (the organization behind the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market) is launching a series of Farmer’s Market Pop-Ups at The Yard at Mission Rock. Situated next to the walkway behind AT&T Park, The Yard offers fantastic views of the bay and has easy parking at the adjacent lot (which is an affordable $5 for 2 hours on non-game days).
These themed pop-ups will highlight local harvests and kick off with Sunday’s “Preservation Celebration” from 10am to 2pm. To go with the preservation theme, this Sunday’s activities and demos include hot sauce tasting, fig conserva and DIY picked peppers. Future markets include: “Harvest Festival” (October 25), “Thanksgiving Market” (November 22), and “Holiday Hoedown” (December 20). For more information, click here.
