This weekend is the official start of summer. When I think of summer, I think of long days, picnics and BBQs, and summer cocktails. I don’t know about you, but I am ready to get this summer started.

The summer heat can make you pretty thirsty. What goes well with a bbq or picnic? Sangria, of course. One of my favorite celebrity chefs, Ina Garten (a.k.a. The Barefoot Contessa), has this recipe for Summer Rose Sangria that I can’t wait to try. With Grand Marnier, Cognac and pomegranate juice, the recipe offers a slight twist on an old favorite.
