Two Looks for a Young Girl’s Room

October 21, 2015 by Ariana | 0 Comments

We love the combination of bright pink and turquoise, especially for a young girl’s room.  So when we were brainstorming different looks for a 7-year old’s bedroom (already painted a light turquoise), we immediately thought bright and colorful.  Look 1 draws inspiration from this room, cheery and fun but not juvenile.  We love the playful mix of patterns and the whimsy of the tassel curtains.  A good dose of white in the bordered duvet and the streamlined dresser provide a foundation for the bold hues.  There’s nothing subtle about look one; it’s just delightful.

For the second look, our young subject — a happy, open girl who loves to sing and dance — provided the inspiration. The idea behind look 2 was part princess and part pop star, hence, the dancing queen theme.  The tufted bed, frilly hem of the bedding, and exquisite inlaid detail on the dresser are fit for a princess.  Touches of gold, including a chandelier that will light up the room like a disco ball, shine for a budding songstress.  After all, as the artwork proclaims, she’s the best and the mostest.

We really can’t decide which one we like better.  Lucky for us, we don’t have to!
