It’s hard for us to believe that it’s been a year since we first launched the site in October 2014, but we have a year’s worth of posts to prove it! While writing has been exciting, creative and fun, it is also harder work than we first realized. Keeping on top of trends, discovering new finds, and coming up with interesting (we hope) posts for you all has been a good challenge. So in honor of our first anniversary, we’re celebrating Throwback Thursday with some of our favorite posts. Happy Reading!
We love to study our favorite rooms and break them down for you. This living room, styled by local designer Catherine Kwong, is a favorite.
We have so many crushes, on colors, that is. Our inaugural Color Crush is still current, after all, they say orange is the new black.

One of the best perks of the blog is an excuse to scout out new places in the city and beyond and sharing our favorite finds with you, like the Lost Art Salon, a hidden gem for affordable, original art.
With the internet at our fingertips, our finds and favorites are not limited to local brick & mortar shops. Melissa and I have arrived at meetings both wearing scarves from Gray Market Design.
We try to impart design “wisdom” when we can, like this post on how to mix prints.
And don’t forget the food! What SF dweller isn’t at least part foodie?
On Fridays, we try to provide Weekend Inspiration, with updates on local happenings or suggestions for a relaxing and fun few days. With Halloween coming up this weekend, here’s a timely flashback for you.
