As we are reaching the end of our remodeling project, I have recently turned my attention toward looking at fabric and wallpaper. There are so many beautiful choices out there. While I was on the hunt, I had a realization: I am very drawn towards birds. This realization surprised me as I do not really like actual, living birds. Draw them into a wallpaper or fabric design, however, and I am sold.
I started to take inventory of some of the things I own and realized I already have many items with bird motifs. My daughter’s duvet cover by Serena & Lily and this table lamp by Stray Dog Designs are two of my favorite pieces.
As I have been looking for finishes, I have ended up choosing at least one item with an aviary theme for almost every room. For example, this Chenoncou wallpaper by Schumacher has a high probability of going into our powder room.
I chose this Robert Allen fabric for our two of our dining room chairs.
I am trying to find someplace for this Hygge & West wallpaper stunner.Unfortunately, my husband doesn’t share my love of bird themes. He thinks I’ll tire of them quickly. I think he is wrong, but what do you think? Will these birds stand the test of time?
