I’ve been searching for the perfect bag to take on warm-weather trips. Here is my criteria:
Hands-free. It must be cross body. It would also be ideal to have a shoulder strap in case I want to switch things up.
Secure. It must zip up or otherwise be able to securely close. I will often carry an open-tote or cinched bucket bag, but when I’m out of town and especially if I’m out of the country, I feel better knowing my wallet and passport won’t accidentally slip out (or worse).
Roomy. It needs to be able to fit a camera (yes, not just the one on my phone), water bottle, notepad and pen, etc. Depending on the weather, I also like to be able to throw in a lightweight scarf or cardigan in case I’ll be out all day.
Lightweight. I don’t want a bag that weighs 5 pounds before I put anything in it. Since I will be carrying more than my usual, a lighter bag is key.
Versatile. When packing for vacation, I don’t want to bring more than one bag (okay, maybe a small clutch that can fit in the bag). A bag that can go from day to night without screaming tourist (i.e., no backpack) is key. Plus, I want to save room in case I find another bag to bring home.
I recently rediscovered Polyvore and it made shopping for a bag a cinch. The only “dilemma” is choosing just one. Check out the candidates I narrowed down on my Polyvore set. Which is your favorite?
