With Thanksgiving around the corner, the holiday season is about to begin. Holidays mean holiday parties and you know what that means. It is time to come up with a few gift ideas for those hard working hostesses. While you can never go wrong with a nice bottle of wine or liquor, this year I am going to try to take it up a notch. We have tried to get creative with our giving over the last twelve months and here are some of the things we have come up with.
Beautiful Cloth Napkins: I love using cloth napkins. It makes your average weeknight supper feel a little bit more special. But, I find that they are an item that many people don’t purchase for themselves (unless they have a specific purpose in mind). I own some of the napkins pictured above (from Gray Market Design) and have given them as a hostess gift on more than one occasion; they are always a hit.
This one requires a little bit of planning, but why not make it personal. A monogrammed candle or tray is a beautiful gift that your host can enjoy for many years to come. We featured some of our favorite monogrammed products on the blog recently. Here is the link.
Feeling crafty? These DIY coasters have become one of our favorite go-to hostess gifts. They are easy to make (link here) and the metallic accent makes them feel special. I suggest making a few before things get crazy this season; then you’ll have the perfect gift ready to go on a moment’s notice.
Flowers. Now, I know flowers doesn’t sound like the most creative idea. But, I really love receiving flowers as a hostess gift and what could be better than receiving flowers in a beautiful vase to keep? The kate spade pearl place rose bowl is one of my favorites. The gold is festive, but neutral enough to go with almost any style of decor. I am thinking of picking it up for myself.
These are a few of our favorite ideas. What are you planning to give this year?
