DIY: Fun Fall Utensils

September 30, 2015 by Melissa | 0 Comments

While we were visiting Pippa & Co a few weeks ago (here), we noticed these very cute disposable party utensils.Pippa & CoBeing the DIY-ers that we are, we couldn’t help but think that we could make our own version of the utensils at home. So we gave it a try.

First, we found these for $6.99 on Amazon from Perfect Stix Compostable Cutlery.

We used basic acrylic paint to tackle the project.

After receiving our supplies, we taped our design using masking tape and started painting.

We decided to stick to fall colors – gray, orange, yellow.

The finished product turned out pretty well.

Next time we would use painter’s tape instead of masking tape, but over all we were pleased.  It was a quick project and we could definitely use the pieces for a fall kids’ party or BBQ.  They would be especially cute (in different colors of course), for a baby shower or holiday event.  Give it a try.
