After hearing about it for several months, I was excited to finally try Cala Restaurant last night. If you have not yet been, Cala fills the city’s need for an upscale, refined Mexican restaurant. The space is beautifully designed, making an effort to bring nature indoors. The amount of a greenery is impactful from the moment you walk in.

Perhaps more importantly, the food was superb. We started with tostadas and sopes, then we moved to little gems and sweet potato, and finished with the rockfish. Each course was expertly timed (no one likes feeling rushed) and the food was prepared to perfection. If you are looking for an amazing Mexican meal, look no further. I cannot wait to go back.Images courtesy of Cecilia Nguyen Hogan
