I love lighting. I once heard someone say that lighting is the jewelry of a room and I couldn’t agree more. These days, I seem to be mixing old and new more and more. I love the look of a house with period details – carved mantels, plaster crown moldings, original herringbone floors – mixed with contemporary pieces. Adding contemporary lighting is a perfect way to harmonize old and new. The image below is an example of the look I love.
