Dinner parties are one of my favorite ways to entertain. I love the planning, the table-setting, and the cooking. I like to plan ahead so that I can enjoy the evening and relax with friends over a long, leisurely meal. If you are a city-dweller, it is a luxury to have a dedicated dining room. But, it is usually possible to create a dining space as part of your living room or kitchen. When I am thinking about dining spaces that do double duty, I prefer contemporary spaces with clean lines that do not create a lot of visual clutter. I love the space above from Lonny in March 2015. It is lovely as a stand-alone room, but it could also tuck nicely into a kitchen nook or the corner of a living room. If it were in my home, I’d probably use it as an office as well because I love having a large work table. I would also probably buy six chairs and keep two elsewhere in my home so that I could bring them out as needed. Here is how we break it down.
