A Quick Fix

November 8, 2017 by Ariana | 0 Comments

Sometimes it just takes a little fix to make a big difference.  Case in point:  after months-long wait, our new entertainment console arrived.  This type of purchase always requires a balance of style and practicality.  While I had initially picked out a different piece, we went with the practical open top shelf to place the necessary cable box and peripherals.  Nobody wants to open a door every time we turn on the TV, nor did I want to display any entertainment gadgets behind glass doors in the living room.  We chose this piece, which I really like.  The champagne finish and detailed top (seen here) give it enough interest while still maintaining a classic look.  The only thing that bothered me was those boring knobs.  Once it was delivered, I wasted no time replacing them.

I had pinned these beauties, in a gold finish, for no particular purpose but to archive them (the beauty of pinterest).  Scrolling through my boards, I rediscovered them and searched for ones finished with chrome to better accent the console.  Imagine my surprise to find they were available at the nearby Home Depot for only $5 each!

Needless to say, the next day those boring knobs were replaced in just a few minutes.  What a difference this $20 fix makes!
