True to its foodie reputation, our city is never short of new culinary events. This weekend, the San Francisco Street Food Festival will be held August 15-16th at Pier 70 in the Dogpatch.
Food “islands” are grouped into favorite street foods and will serve a variety of tacos, dumplings, and seafood. Try oysters from Drake’s Bay, XLB Shanghai dumplings from Beijing, and Pork Guisado Tacos from Mi Moreno.
As if that wasn’t enough food (I could sit all day at either the taco or the dumpling island), there will be seven Chef Counters, described as “chef-driven opportunities to sit and have a meal served directly to you.”
For those who can power through to dinner, the Festival presents a Saturday Night Spit Roast. This five-course dinner starts with cocktail hour and ends with dancing. In between, enjoy dishes from Chef Ryan Prewitt of Peche Restaurant, Chef Jason Rose and team from Bi-Rite, Chefs Ryan Farr of 4505 Meats, Chef Anthony Myint of Mission Chinese Food, and many more. Tickets cost $150 and are available here. Other activities include cooking demonstrations, live music and Happy Hour at Hotel Zetta.
Tickets range from “Just Snacking” passports for $35 to the “We Came to Eat” passport for $250.
