It may be a Hallmark creation, but we still enjoy giving and receiving Valentine’s cards from our sweethearts. This weekend, we’ve invited friends over to make handmade Valentines. Since it’s predicted to rain (finally), it’s a great indoor activity and just in the nick of time as V-day is right around the corner. It’s also a really easy, fun task that will hopefully entertain our children of varying ages, and I’m looking forward to getting creative myself. Over the years I’ve collected a fairly impressive inventory of craft goods, so I didn’t have to go far to gather supplies for our little workshop. I searched my house for: paper (in various size, shapes, weight and prints), scissors and paper cutters, ribbon, glue, glitter etc. You name it, I pretty much had it already! Next I searched pinterest (the best place for DIY-ers) for a little inspiration…
Now all we need is something warm to serve (we’re going with paninis and soup), and we’re going to have ourselves a cozy little pre-Valentine’s Day gathering. I can’t wait to see what everyone creates! Make any great Valentine’s? Please share!
