Thank you gifts

May 27, 2015 by Ariana | 0 Comments

School’s almost out for summer.  For some of us, that means we’re putting together our list of teachers, coaches and others whom we wish to thank.  I’ve had more years of experience with teacher gifts than I care to admit, but I’m always on the lookout for new ideas.  Many times we end up going the gift card route, but when time allows, I try to get the kids involved in making something to share their gratitude as well.  Here are a few new ideas.  What I like about each of these is that they are neither gender, nor teacher-specific.

We made terrariums for holiday gifts, these stamped potted succulents from Martha Stewart would be cute for spring.

This Suede Catchall is a great place to keep keys, jewelries or confiscated candy…

These graphic Felt Coasters are creative and easy to make.  A little imagination with line layout and thread choice and these make a great gift for anyone.

Favorite quote tote:  Use a quote from a teacher’s favorite book, or your coach’s encouraging words to personalize a tote.  Customize the straps on the craft-store bag with leather, as A Beautiful Mess does here, or have fun with some grosgrain or pom-pom trim.
