Stores We Love: Lost Art Salon

Recently, I’ve started to invest in original artwork for my home.  I don’t know a lot about art, but I do know what I like.  It can often be intimidating to go to a gallery, not to mention quite the investment.  One of my favorite places in the city to find original art in a completely inviting setting is Lost Art Salon.  It is a treasure trove with a wonderful assortment of works, ranging from sketches, photography, to paintings in different mediums.  Their rotating inventory features traditional and contemporary styles, and priced for many different budgets.  The space is a little hidden, but once inside, it is warm, bright and filled to the brim with art.  The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they don’t give you the hard sell.  I recently took advantage of their lending program, bringing home a couple pieces to try on my mantle, before deciding on an abstract watercolor from Hugh Wiley.

Here are some of the currently available works that caught my eye:

Check out these paintings and more on Lost Art’s website, or better yet, pay them a visit and see them in person.  It’s worth the trip.

  1. So cool. Thanks for the headsup. I am also too intimidated to go to a gallery. Plus, I like that they would let you take it home to see how it looks in your space.

  2. Thanks for the info! I’d love to take some art pieces home to see how they look on my living room wall, especially since I have high ceilings.
