With spring upon us, I have been in the mood to entertain outdoors. Just because you are outdoors, however, does not mean that you have to foresake a beautiful table. When I am planning an outdoor event, I like to think beyond flowers. I’ve used fruit and vegetables in my centerpieces in the past. The key, in my opinion, is keeping the components simple. I like to use one or two elements, in the same color, and place them in a natural vessel (this is not the place for a crystal vase). I think the look sets a rustic but refined tone.
This year I am thinking about adding herbs and succulents into my centerpiece rotation. I have been looking around for inspiration and here is what I found.
