Today is the first day of the Year of the Monkey. The exact date of the Lunar New Year changes every year but generally speaking, you’re a monkey if you were born in the years: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, or after today in 2016! There is no shortage of events to celebrate Chinese New Year around the Bay Area, including the annual parade on February 20th (there was a little event called the Super Bowl that may have overshadowed festivities this year).
