E-Design: Foyer

May 10, 2016 by Ariana | 0 Comments

In keeping with the e-design scheme, the foyer maintains clean lines, natural elements and mimics some of the elements found in the great room.  The lacquered white console table is similar to the coffee table used for the family’s central hub.  Likewise, leather is repeated on the poufs, the striking hanging mirror, and the minimal wall hooks.  Other natural elements include the hide rug and the fiddle leaf ficus.  We added a polished touch with the brass chandelier and the woven brass umbrella stand. From a functional perspective, we stuck with a minimalist approach:  a Parsons table to hold small items, leather poufs that can serve as seating but be tucked away when not in use, hanging hooks for guests’ coats and bags, an umbrella stand and a mirror for last-minute checks before greeting visitors or heading out the door.
