Break it Down: Family Room

April 13, 2015 by Ariana | 2 Comments

What do we like about this family room?  Everything.  There is enough seating to comfortably fit eight: one sofa, one loveseat, and two occasional chairs.  So often we see family rooms with a single couch or perhaps a sectional; we like everyone to be able to gather around!  Speaking of which, we love how the ample (and comfy looking) sofas and chairs are centered around a sturdy coffee table.  The table, while styled beautifully here, would, in our house (and we suspect, others’) hold bowls of popcorn, board games and even resting feet while enjoying TV.  The television is well-displayed over a cozy fireplace and between built-in bookshelves and cheerfully-covered windows.  Though the white sofa may give us pause in a family entertaining area, it acts as a neutral backdrop for the navy and tan pillows that add some pattern and interest.  We also love the vintage-looking lantern pendants and shine from the silver table lamps.  Do you want to incorporate some of these elements in your home?  Here’s how we break it down:
