I never tire of the traditional Thanksgiving menu. After all, we only eat turkey once a year so I like to live on it for days. There’s something comforting about the old standbys — turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes… But recently, I was inspired to put a twist on some favorites after enjoying the most delicious sweet potato dish at a friend’s dinner party. The combination of goat cheese and truffle oil was divine and I made sure to get the recipe. Since I am always on yam duty in our family, I’ve decided to try something new and make this Sweet Potato Puree with Goat Cheese and Truffle Oil. I couldn’t find a great photo, but believe me, it’s amazing. Since the kids will want their marshmallows, we’ll enjoy two sweet potato dishes this year.
